Have you seen the latest trend spreading across the culinary scene? The butter board is churning its way into the hearts (and bellies) of food lovers everywhere, and it's easy to see (and taste) why! Starting with butter as the canvas, cooks are adding all sorts of toppings, including a scattering of fresh herbs, nuts, edible flowers, or a drizzle of honey, to add their own delicious spin on this shareable platter.

But it's not just butter boards. This trend has us serving all sorts of edible, spreadable favorites on boards. Craft a brunch board starring cream cheese as the base. Or, create a dessert board with peanut butter and Nutella! The possibilities are endless.

Want to know how to make a butter board and other delicious creations? Check out our three board how-tos below!

3 Boards to Build

Butter Board

1. Butter Board

To start your butter board, grab some DLM Salted Artisan Butter and let it soften to room temperature (this makes it easier to spread). Smear the softened butter on a board of your favorite board, platter, or plate and top with freshly chopped herbs (try chives, parley, or mint) as well as some red pepper flakes, pink peppercorns, and a generous showering of Maldon Sea Salt Flakes. Or, try adding some DLM 100% Pure Honey, walnuts, thinly sliced pickles, or radishes. Serve with sliced DLM Artisan Baguette.

Cream Cheese Board

2. Cream Cheese Board

Build a better brunch with a flavor-packed cream cheese board! Slather whipped cream cheese on a board and top with all of your favorite bagel toppings. We used smoked salmon, cucumbers, red onion, capers, fresh dill, and DLM Everything Bagel Seasoning. Try serving with sliced bagels, crackers, or flatbreads.

3. Snack or Dessert Board

Give your board a sweet twist with this idea! Alternate DLM Organic Creamy Peanut Butter and Nutella, and fill the board with all sorts of scrumptious bites to scoop it all up. We like using both Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples along with celery sticks, pretzels, and chunks of Taste of Belgium Waffles. Or, try Lopaus Point Waffles for a gluten-free version. Don't forget to top it off with some pieces of banana and strawberries. Perfect for an afterschool snack or easy dessert!

I wish your store was in every state. There is nothing like DLM. We just need more of your stores. Love you all.
