The Gullah Geechee culture has given us so many culinary American classics and Hoppin' John is one of our favorites. Centered around rice and beans, Hoppin' John is a hearty, belly-warming comfort food that's packed with flavor. 

This kit contains the basic ingredients for making this dish as we like it here in Ohio, but feel free to explore the many variations of recipes using these same ingredients: Carolina Gold Rice and  Black Eyed Peas. This may not be the most traditional recipe, but it's the way we love it around here.
