About Harriet Argue

Harriet Argue was the owner of Truffles Café and Catering. She was also involved in menu development and catering at Madison's Bistro and Mediterra. We welcome her back to Dorothy Lane's Culinary Center to share her expertise with Greek Cuisine. Moving here from Los Angeles from a large Greek family, she started a California Deli Café. Her restaurants were known for their quality food, and innovative menus. Harriet was in the catering and restaurant business for over 30 years. She has taught cooking classes in the Dayton area for many years.

A Night in Greece

Enticing for many reasons, Greek cuisine is one of the most loved. With a plethora of different spices, olive oils, and fresh ingredients, it's no wonder this Mediterranean diet is so popular. Join Harriet Argue for this delicious menu where every dish is Greek perfection. To whet your palate we'll start with a Charcuterie Board of salty Olive Tapenade and tangy Red Pepper Dip. We'll grill a beautiful Herbed Butterflied Leg of Lamb, roast Greek Potatoes (White and Sweet), and for a cool, crispy side: Tomato, Cucumber Salad with Greek Vinaigrette. We'll finish with a light citrusy dessert, Lemon Yogurt Cake

With summer well underway, there's nothing like the flavors of chargrilled meats and refreshing salads. Join Harriet Argue for this delicious and distinctively-Greek menu bursting with fresh seasonal flavors. Menu includes: Youvarlakia (Greek Meatball Soup in Lemon Sauce), Pork Skewers, marinated in traditional Souvlaki seasonings of onion, garlic, oregano, and a touch of mint, Orzo Artichoke Salad, Greek Haricot Vert, and Grilled Fresh Peaches Over Greek Yogurt.
