Hands-On Classes (grades 1-3)
Join us for this best-of-summer weeklong cooking camp with Zebbie Borland. All the recipes are simple to follow, fun to create, and delicious to eat. Students will get hands-on experience and build upon both cooking and baking methods such as chopping, measuring, mixing, sautéing, as well as kitchen safety. You'll enjoy recreating these family-friendly recipes throughout the happy-go-lucky, school's-out season!
Menu for the week
Monday: Day at the Park: Baked Crispy Chicken, Confetti Pasta Salad, Cheesy Breadsticks, Fruit-on-a-Stick with Dip, and Chocolatey Bar Cookies
Tuesday: Tropical Paradise: Grilled Pork Wrap with Pineapple Salsa, Tropical Fruit Salad, Hawaiian Shirt Punch, and Banana Pudding with Toasted Coconut Topping
Wednesday: Campfire Fun: Individual Grilled Pizzas, Campfire Nachos, Grilled Corn in the Husk, and Dutch Oven Berry Cobbler
Thursday: Diner Delights: Diner-Style Hamburgers, Home Fries, Cobb Salad, and Chocolate Shakes with Whipped Cream and Cherries
Friday: Cool & Frosty: Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with Velvety Fudge Sauce, Fruity Popsicles, and Ice Cream Sandwiches

Zebbie Borland has been on the DLM School of Cooking team as a kitchen assistant since 1990. She has taught our Kids' classes since 1998. She loves food and people of all ages. Her specialties are cheesecakes, children's parties, and growing and cooking herbs. Zebbie holds a B.S. in Business and earned her teaching certification from Miami University.
