Teen Cooking Camp: Exploring Favorite Cuisines

Hands-On Teen Cooking Camp (grades 6 & up)

Teen chefs will enjoy this week of menus celebrating a variety of recipes from the cuisines we love. Students will practice culinary skills and learn a variety of techniques for making sauces, roasting, grilling, and baking. You'll go home with all the recipes, knowledge, and skills for recreating these delicious dishes for family and friends!

Menu for the week

Monday: Italian: Cheese-Filled Manicotti with Homemade Crepes and Bechamel/Tomato Sauce, Sticky Chicken with Rosemary and Cream Sauce, and Chocolate Ciambella Cake with Chocolate Ganache, Whipped Cream, and Fresh Berries

Tuesday: Mexican: Grilled Chicken Street Tacos; Elote (grilled corn-on-the-cob slathered in a mayo-cream sauce and garnished with chili powder, cheese, and lime), Pico de Gallo, White Queso Dip with Tortilla Chips; and Mexican Wedding Cookies

Wednesday: American: Beef Stew, Mashed Potatoes, Blistered Broccoli, and Kentucky Butter Cake

Thursday: Asian: Potstickers with Sweet Chili Sauce, Chicken Lo Mein, Snow Peas and Carrots, and Peanut Butter Miso Cookies

Friday: Baking: All Butter Pie Dough for Roasted Peach, Apple and Cherry Pies
