After tasting the Zanetti’s olive oil, we knew it was special. It had flavor, balance, and a healthy
peppery kick that Tuscan oils are known for. We love it so much that it’s been lovingly named Vera
Jane’s after Vera Mayne, wife to DLM founder Calvin Mayne and major stockholder for most of
DLM’s history. Drizzle liberally with our Vera Jane’s Extra-Virgin Olive Oil everything from roasted
vegetables to your steak and salmon.

The rolling hills of this part of Tuscany are home to the olive trees that produce our signature Vera Jane's Extra-Virgin Olive Oil. It's a pleasure to be able to share some of our food finds with you.Read full story >>
Thanks to directly importing from our friend Alessandro (Alex) in Italy, this is by far the best value in extra virgin olive oil we have ever seen. Alex produces it from olive groves near the beautiful medieval town of Lucignano, in Tuscany, Italy. This oil has a nice, rounded rustic flavor with a peppery tickle typically found in Tuscan oils. Use it for dressing salads, making a classic vinaigrette, and as a "chef's secret" to add flavor to all sorts of dishes. For example, you can use it to fry eggs or salmon for that matter. Or drizzle it over grilled meats, pasta dishes...even a small sprinkling on pizza or a teaspoon in soups adds depth of flavor. Add sea salt and freshly ground pepper to make a dip for our Artisan breads. It could become the most important food in your pantry! Named for Vera Mayne, long time matriarch of the DLM family.
This kitchen staple duo represents some of our favorite discoveries from Italy.Read full story >>
