Mulled Apple Cider

  • 1 qt DLM 100% Apple Cider
  • 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • ½ lemon peel, grated
  • ½ orange peel, grated
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 Allspice berries
  • Apple slices for garnish


If you have a cheesecloth on hand, wrap lemon peel, orange peel, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and allspice berries in a pouch. If you do not have a cheesecloth, you will add these ingredients directly in cider and strain them out later.
In a stainless-steel pan, combine cider, brown sugar, and spices. Bring to a boil and turn to a very light simmer on low for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to cool until safe enough to drink. Serve with apple slices.
