Minced Thai Basil Stir-Fry

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp serrano, Thai, or jalapeno chilies, chopped
  • 1 lb DLM Natural Ground Beef
  • 1 small onion, sliced thin
  • cups fresh basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 4 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp white pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat wok or sauté pan over high heat and add oil. Briefly sauté garlic and chilies, then add beef and stir-fry for a couple of minutes.

Add onions and basil leaves; stir for 1 minute.

Add oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and white pepper, and stir-fry until cooked.

Garnish with additional herbs and dust with peanuts, if desired. Serve with steamed rice.
