Greek-Style Slow Cooked Green Beans

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup DLM Pure Olive Oil
  • 2 green garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped
  • Handful of fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic and green onions briefly.

Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir and let simmer, covered, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Taste and adjust with more salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot with a slotted spoon.

I was looking for a recipe that would add flavor to the fresh green beans I had, and this recipe was a perfect fit. I had only garlic, not green garlic. It was quite tasty. Thank you for making this recipe and others available on your site.
