Our food finds journey has brought us several fantastic products so far. From luxurious chocolates to truffle-laden sauces and salts, these selections represent some of the best products in the food industry. 1. Newby Teas

Constantly on the move as adventure beckoned them, French couple Isabelle and Bruno, along with their kids, always brought a piece of home with them as they travelled—biscuits. Their love of these cookies and desire to share them with others drove them to create this line of French biscuits. Hand-selected ingredients used in traditional recipes and made by the very best biscuit makers, Oui Love It! Biscuits are made in France and quite delicious. The Boudoirs are soft and they melt in your mouth. Because of their texture, they’re not only great on their own, but also in Tiramisu. You can’t get much better than Palets Bretons. These round, crumbly biscuits are made with an indulgent amount of butter making them simply irresistible. Oui Love It! Palmiers have a stunning appearance and an equally scrumptious flavor. They’re light and airy with a delightful crunch. Sablés Coco are made from sweet shortcrust pastry. When these cookies are made, cold butter is added to flour and sugar, then rubbed together until all the flour and sugar is coated with butter. This process gives these biscuits an incredible texture making it hard to eat only one.

5. North Country Charcuterie

Found locally in Columbus, Ohio, North Country Charcuterie is a family-owned company that handmakes cured meats and salamis. Using humanely raised Berkshire pork and ingredients from Ohio producers, they’re able to create excellent products. No 1 Salami is the richest and creamiest salami of the North Country collection. It is boldly flavored with cheese from Blue Jacket Dairy in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Chardonnay from Debonne Vineyards in Madison, Ohio, chopped garlic, and fresh sage. Subtly flavored with Tripel from Combustion Brewery in Pickerington, Tripel Pigs Salami is their most traditional salami with an American twist. Lupo Salami is deep, dark, and mysterious. North Country artisans combine Russian Imperial Stout from Wolf’s Ridge Brewing in Columbus, Ohio, with Mexican mole to create a rich, bold flavor. Fino Salami is an ode to the owner’s mom and her love of garlic. This Finocchiona-style salami is a delicate balance of ground fennel and minced garlic. The Rojizo Chorizo is an intriguing fusion of European traditions and flavors like hot paprika, cayenne, and chipotle without overwhelming heat. Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo is best enjoyed on a baguette or added to a favorite Spanish recipe. This Sobrasada with its hot paprika, chipotle, and cayenne hits your tongue with a sultry surprise and fiery finish. They use synthetic casings for this link. 8. DLM La Pastora Yellow Honey Coffee

We first tasted La Pastora at a deep-rooted family farm when visiting Costa Rica, and are excited to bring it to you. It’s bright with citrus, melon, mango, and berry flavors with a raw sugar finish, as the coffee is honey processed alongside the family’s organic fruit farm. Fanatic about ripeness, only the brightest red coffee cherries make the cut. That high level of attention to processing results in this exceptional coffee roasted locally at Boston Stoker. Finca La Pastora is located in Santa Maria de Dota region of Tarrazu. The farm has been in the same family for over 60 years. The owner Minor Esquival Picado, has divided the farm into 3 separate farms, 2 for his daughters and La Pastora which he has built his micro mill. One of the more innovative producers in the area with concern for environmental impact all of his coffee is honey processed and dried on African beds. Boston Stoker roasts this coffee exclusively for DLM.

9. Lick My Spoon Confections Chocolate Bars

Without formal training, but a passion for creating the best confections possible, Kristine Insalaco-Gaioni dabbled in making traditional Italian sweets and caramel sauce. Through trial and error she perfected her caramel sauce and passed it out to friends. After receiving rave reviews, Kristine decided to enter her caramel sauce in the Good Food Awards in San Francisco where her sauce won the hearts of the judges. The name for the caramel sauce, Lick My Spoon, came naturally as the judges and friends who tasted her sauce would literally lick the spoon. After her caramel sauce became a hit, she decided to dive into working with chocolate. This desire to learn led her to training in Milan with a master pastry chef, working her way to the title of chocolatier. The Orange Cardamom Spice Bar, composed of white chocolate that’s blended with candied orange peel, cardamom spice, and pistachio almond nougatine, is not only one of our favorites, but it also is a Good Food Award Winner 2020. White chocolate blended with raspberries and strawberries with a touch of rosewater, the Berry Rose Bar is visually stunning and a beautiful combination of flavors. You have to try Hot Little Number Bar. With complex flavors and a kiss of heat, this chocolate bar is made with 61% Venezuelan single bean origin cacao, cinnamon, and a mix of peppers. The picturesque Strawberry Bar, made with strawberries and cocoa butter, tastes of ripe strawberries with freeze dried strawberry slices.

10. Esther Price Fine Chocolates Fudge

With their first roots planted right here in Dayton, Esther Price Fine Chocolates has certainly become a household name. This delicious story began in a 7th grade Home Economics class where THE Esther Price learned to make fudge and immediately fell in love with the process. From there she ventured into making chocolate and soon began selling chocolate from her home business. Esther’s business quickly outgrew her home, so she opened her first store on Wayne Avenue in Dayton, and the rest is history. In homage to their humble beginnings, Esther Price produces rich and decadent home made fudge. Available in Chocolate and Peanut Butter, this delectable, local treat makes a great gift or indulgent treat for yourself.
