Classic Strawberry Shortcake
½ cup DLM Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
2-3 Tbsp strawberry preserves or more to taste
1 lb strawberries, sliced
4 Vera Jane’s Shortcakes
Isigny Sainte-Mère Crème for serving
Add the juice and preserves to the strawberries, then let macerate for at least 15 minutes to encourage a flavorful sauce. Cut the shortcakes in half lengthwise and pile on the berries with a spoonful or two of the liquid. Layer and top with whipped cream and dive in.
