We're excited to welcome Frank Pirrello to our Culinary Center. Frank grew up on the Italian East Side of Detroit and his passion for his Italian roots is infectious. Frank and Mary team up for a fun afternoon of baking Italian-style! Roll up your sleeves and learn to make cannoli from the experts. They will teach us how to make cannoli shells from scratch. Frank will demonstrate his family's favorite Northern Custard Filling, and Mary will make her Homemade Ricotta, for the traditional Southern Sicilian filling. You'll also lean to make Sicilian Fig Cookies, and they'll throw in Pizzelles, the traditional Italian waffle cookie, just because we love them! Savory Italian snacks and wine will be served.
