Chefs Casey & Patrick Van Voorhis will teach you the secrets for developing and building flavor in this soup class. They'll transform a variety of ingredients to create three very different flavor profiles to please every palate. You'll learn to make a pureed soup with a creamy texture, perfect with a crispy garnish, a brothy soup with Asian flavors, and a hearty gumbo, perfect for an entrée course. Sunchoke & Leek Soup with Crispy Leeks, Truffle Oil & Toasted Sunflower Seeds; Bok Choy, Garlic, & Ginger Soup (Sliced Chicken, Bok Choy, Sesame, Shiitake & Soy Broth); and Gumbo (Andouille Sausage, Cajun Mirepoix, and Shrimp over Rice). We'll start the class with a delicious Kale, Radicchio, & Endive Salad with Roasted Apples, Shaved Celery Root, and Puffed Grains. This menu will be paired with wine.
