Healthy Dinner Table

Do you want to feed your family healthier but feel like you don't have time? Is the desire there but you feel overwhelmed? We're excited to welcome Kara Haas to the Culinary Center who can relate to this experience! From her seven-year journey of working through the ups and downs of changing her family's diet from processed to whole foods, Kara knows how hard it can be to please the entire family's appetites. In this class, Kara will demonstrate how to adapt a simple one-pot, Tex-Mex meal to your family's tastes (picky eaters included!), and any dietary needs you or a family member has (gluten free, dairy free, Vegan, Paleo, etc.). Kara will include a shopping list with the recipe, along with simple hacks to speed up meal prep. Kara will also model phrases and strategies to address and eliminate the "that's gross" and "I'm not eating that" from the dinner table. Come find inspiration and support to make a whole food meal your family will love!
