Springboro Update

“We’re Gonna Beat This Thing…”
So says developer Ron Coffman every time we have encountered a challenge. We’ve made it a sort of tongue-in-cheek mantra around here. Who is Ron Coffman? He is the visionary developer who is building Settlers Walk in Springboro, and it was Ron as much as anyone else who convinced us that Springboro would love a Dorothy Lane Market at Settlers Walk. (DLM Store Director and 17-year Springboro resident Ed Flohre, and our late friend Ed Walton, were other big proponents.) We have become good friends with Ron because he is honest and honorable, he believes in quality as we do, and because he is committed to making the new Marketplace at Settlers Walk something very special.

As you may have noticed, especially if you live in Springboro, we have not yet opened our new store. We apologize for the delay. We had hoped to open it this fall, but the site has received as much rain as an Amazon rainforest the past year! The laying of the foundation was quite delayed, and that set the whole project back. We now hope to open the store in a few more months, that is, in the spring. Even in the face of this challenge, “we’re gonna beat this thing” and give you one of the most friendly, exciting — and appetizing – food stores you could imagine. We are just opening it a little later than we had hoped. Please have a little more patience with us. We promise you will absolutely love the new Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro!
