Gayle has a passion for all things related to food and wine. She was previously a volunteer for three years at the School of Cooking, followed by a position as a kitchen assistant. She is a former innkeeper at a bed and breakfast in Colorado and owned a wine lounge. Currently she volunteers as a "chef for charity" for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she is the Auxiliary President. She loves to dine out and travels extensively, experiencing international cooking schools and culinary experiences. She plans to share new trends and ideas and looks forward to seeing you at the School of Cooking!

Welcome to Dorothy Lane Market's School of Cooking!

Most classes are taught by lecture and demonstration in a classroom-style setting. Hands-on classes will be designated as such, and have a limited number of students to offer lots of opportunity for interaction with the instructors. Printed recipes are given out at all classes, along with generous samples of the listed menus. Where noted, tastings of wine and/or beer will be paired with the menu (you must be 21 to be served alcohol). Additional glasses or bottles are available for purchase during your class. You will get a coupon for every class attended. Collect 10 coupons and receive $50.00 off of a future class. We offer 10% off merchandise in the school the day of your class.

To cancel a class registration, you must contact us a minimum of 7 days in advance by calling the School of Cooking. After that deadline no refunds or credits will be issued. You may send a substitute in your place.

The School of Cooking reserves the right to cancel a class should it be necessary due to weather, other emergencies or insufficient enrollment; and to substitute teachers and food items as required. If we cancel a class due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as soon as the decision is made and a full refund will be issued.
