Stir-Fry Tri-Tip in Lettuce Cups
|1 lb DLM Natural Beef Tri-Tip|
|1/4 cup lime juice|
|1 Tbsp plus 1 tsp soy sauce|
|1 Tbsp plus 1 tsp hoisin sauce|
|2 tsp oriental sesame oil|
|4 cloves garlic, chopped|
|2 Tbsp peanut oil|
|Iceberg lettuce cups or Romaine salad greens|
|Green onions, thinly sliced|
Cut the beef across the grain into 1/2-inch slices.
In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, soy and hoisin sauces, sesame oil, and garlic. Add the beef, and marinate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Strain the marinade from the beef.
Place a 10-inch skillet over high heat. When hot, add the peanut oil and stir-fry the beef until cooked. Do not overcook.
Put a portion of the beef in a lettuce cup. Top with additional hoisin sauce and thinly sliced green onions. Roll like a burrito. Makes 3 to 4 servings
