Stir-Fry Beef with Romaine
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp lemon zest
1 Tbsp oriental sesame oil
1 lb DLM Natural Beef Tri-Tip, cut into thin strips
1 head romaine lettuce, shredded
3 cups bean sprouts (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Combine in a small bowl the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and lemon zest.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the beef and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the soy sauce mixture, and stir-fry 30 seconds longer. Stir in the romaine and bean sprouts, if desired, until the beef is barely cooked and the vegetables have just wilted.
Remove the skillet from the heat, and season with salt and pepper.
Serve the stir-fried beef with rice. Add a fresh fruit dessert to complete the meal. Makes 4 servings
