Maple Mustard Salad Dressing
From DLM's School of Cooking, Barbara Lauterbach's New England — Now and Then. A quick salad dressing with a surprise ingredient!
|1/3 cup vegetable oil|
|2 Tbsp Dijon mustard|
|2 Tbsp Pommery mustard|
|2 Tbsp Aunt Vera's Italian Red Wine Vinegar|
|1 clove garlic, crushed|
|1/4 cup pure maple syrup|
|1 shallot, chopped|
|Salt, to taste|
|1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper|
Whisk together the oil, mustards, vinegar, garlic, syrup, shallot, salt, and pepper. Toss with salad greens just before serving.
