Beef Brisket in Beer

4 lbs DLM Natural Beef Brisket
Kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper
3 onions, thinly sliced in rings
2 Tbsp brown sugar
12 oz ale
1/4 cup chili sauce
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 cup water

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place brisket in a lightly greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with onions. Combine brown sugar, ale, and chili sauce; pour over meat. Cover and bake for two hours or until tender. Remove meat to a serving platter; keep warm. Skim fat from juices; place one cup of juices in a saucepan.

Combine flour and water. Slowly stir into reserved pan juices. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until gravy is smooth and thickened. Season if desired.
