Wild Mushroom and Sausage Stuffing
|1/2 lb DLM Pork Sausage|
|1/2 cup butter|
|3 lbs mixed wild mushrooms, sliced (Shiitake, Portobello, Enoki)|
|1 large onion, diced|
|1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced|
|(1) 14-oz can DLM Premium Turkey Broth|
|(1) 8-oz pkg DLM Stuffing Mix|
|1 bouquet garnish (2 sprigs each of fresh sage, rosemary, and thyme)|
|1/4 tsp salt|
|1/2 tsp pepper|
Brown sausage, stirring to crumble. Drain and set aside.
Melt butter in pan; add mushrooms, onions, and green onions. Sauté until tender. Stir in sausage, broth, and remaining ingredients. Mix well.
To stuff the turkey, spoon 4 cups of stuffing into the cavity of the turkey and bake as directed.
If not stuffing turkey, lightly coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with Pam Cooking Spray. Fill with stuffing and bake uncovered for 45 minutes at 375°F. If you notice stuffing starting to dry out, cover with foil.
