Penne with Asparagus and Crispy Bacon

3 Tbsp Vera Jane's Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 lb asparagus, sliced on bias in 1-inch pieces
1 pint cherry tomatoes, cut in half
3/4 tsp sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
12-oz bag Bella Terra Whole Wheat Penne Rigate
1 cup DLM Uncured Hickory Smoked Turkey Bacon (about 4 slices), julienne cut

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium heat and add the oil. Add crushed garlic and sauté. Add asparagus and tomatoes to skillet with garlic; season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat when asparagus is crisp tender. Cook penne according to package directions. Sauté bacon in a separate skillet until crispy. Drain excess fat from bacon. Add pasta and bacon to the asparagus and tomatoes. Toss and serve immediately.
