Dutch Apple Crumble

Filling:
6 cups tart baking apples, cored, peeled, and sliced (approximately 8 apples)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Topping:
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350F. Slice apples into a 9x13-inch pie dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Toss to mix.



Combine dry topping ingredients in a medium bowl. Add beaten egg, and mix with a pastry blender until crumbs form. Pour topping evenly over apples. Then, pour butter over topping. Bake 40 minutes or until golden brown.
