Fettucine Alfredo

Serve this as an accompaniment to any Italian or plain meat entrée.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 lb freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
Freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 lb fettuccine, cooked al dente

Melt butter over low heat. Stir in grated cheese and cream. Add pepper to taste. Toss with well-drained fettucine and serve immediately. Makes 8 servings
