Honey-Baked Pears

Adapted from Southern Living.

6 medium pears (choose your favorite variety), ripened for 2 days
3/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp crystallized ginger
3/4 cup water

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the pears in half and core. Arrange pear halves, cut side down, in a lightly greased 13x9x2-inch pan. Drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with ginger. Add water. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes or until tender. Delicious served at room temperature or chilled.
