Revamping the BLT

California BLT

Follow the recipe for a Classic BLT, but add slices from 1/2 an avocado and substitute Hellmann's mayonnaise with Basil Mayonnaise.

Kick It Up a Notch

Make a spicier version by mixing pickled jalapeño pieces and Cayenne pepper with the mayonnaise, and adding a slice of Pepper Jack cheese.

There are many different lettuce for many different tastes and textures: Boston, Bibb, Romaine, and iceberg to name a few. In the summer months, try slicing up some stone fruits like peaches or pluots for a topping.
