Barbecued Turkey Burgers with Creamy Coleslaw
2 Tbsp DLM Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced and mashed to a paste
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp ground cumin
1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb ground turkey
2 Tbsp onion, minced
1/4 cup freshbread crumbs
3 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups cabbage, finely shredded
1 Tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 large carrot, coarsely shredded
1/2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
Make sauce by stirring together worcestershire sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic paste, chili powder, cumin, Tabasco, and salt and pepper until the sauce is smooth. In a large bowl, gently stir together turkey, onion, bread crumbs, and 1/4 cup of the sauce until combined well, then form into four ¾-inch-thick patties.
Coleslaw: Whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and mustard. Stir in remaining coleslaw ingredients; salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine well.
Prepare grill. Grill burgers 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Drizzle burgers with remaining barbecue sauce, and serve with coleslaw.
