Bilinski’s Chicken Sausage Sauce With Pasta

Adapted from

2 Tbsp Vera Jane's Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
(2) 28-oz cans DLM Diced Tomatoes
(1) 12-oz pkg Bilinski's All Natural Chicken Sausage
1/2 tsp basil
Sea salt and black pepper
(1) 16-oz box rotini pasta
3 Tbsp Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated

Heat oil in a medium saucepan on medium-high heat. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent and slightly browned. Add diced tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Slice chicken sausage and add to sauce. Sprinkle in basil, salt, and pepper to taste. While sauce is simmering, boil salted water. Add pasta to water and cook until al dente (about 10 minutes). Drain pasta and spoon chicken sausage mixture over the top. If desired, garnish with Parmigiano-Reggiano.
