Fish Steaks With Lemon-Oregano Sauce

Use a firm-fleshed fish such as tuna, swordfish, or shark for this quick & easy, absolutely delicious preparation!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 4 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 2 lbs fish steaks, sliced 1/2" thick

Directions:

Using a whisk, combine the salt and lemon juice in a small bowl until the salt is dissolved. Add the oregano. Whisk in the olive oil in a slow, steady stream. Add pepper to taste.

Reserve 1/2 of the sauce and marinate steaks 15 to 30 minutes in the remainder. Grill steaks about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on each side. (The surface will not brown.) Do not overcook. Place the steaks on a warm platter, and top with the reserved sauce.
