Pear Chutney

Serve juicy all-natural du Breton Pork Chops with this pear chutney, accented with Cavalli Balsamic Seasoning and a touch of jalapeño pepper. An easy fall treat!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 Bartlett pears, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Cavalli Balsamic Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Directions:

Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add sugar, onion, and jalapeño pepper; sauté 5-6 minutes or until mixture is caramel-colored. Add pears and remaining ingredients; reduce heat and simmer 6-8 minutes.

Makes 1½ cups
