Beef Brisket in Beer

Ingredients:
- 4 lbs Coleman beef brisket
- 12 oz ale
- Kosher salt
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- Freshly ground pepper
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 3 onions, thinly sliced in rings
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Place brisket in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch
baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with onions. Combine brown
sugar, ale, and chili sauce; pour over meat. Cover and bake for 2 hours or
until tender. Remove meat to a serving platter; keep warm. Skim fat from juices;
place 1 cup of juices in a saucepan.
Combine flour and water. Slowly stir into reserved pan juices. Cook over
medium heat, stirring constantly, until gravy is smooth and thickened. Season
if desired.
