Glazed Spiced Pecans

We've added spices to Kitty Sach's pecan recipe. We hope
you enjoy the variation.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg white
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg, ginger, and allspice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 200° F. Beat egg white and water until frothy. Pour over
nuts and toss to coat thoroughly. Combine sugar, spices, and salt; pour over
nuts, coating completely. Spread onto a greased, foil-lined jelly-roll pan
and bake for 2 hours, stirring gently after each half hour. For extra crispness,
let pecans remain in oven for at least 1 hour with oven turned off.Cool completely,
and store in an airtight container.
Makes 5 cups
Per 1/4-cup serving: 202 calories (70% of calories from fat); 16g total fat;
