School of Cooking Gift Cards

We offer gift cards which allow you to select the dollar amount. You may purchase these gift cards at the service booth at any DLM or through the School of Cooking. Gift Cards do not expire! Welcome to Dorothy Lane Market’s School of Cooking.
We offer both single-session and series classes Monday through Thursday, with occasional weekend classes. Weeknight classes are from 6 to 9 p.m. and daytime classes are offered on the weekend.

Classes are taught mainly by demonstration with opportunity for lots of interaction between the students and instructor. Participation classes are noted as hands-on classes, and class size is limited. Generous samples and recipes are given in all classes. We suggest you eat a snack or a slight meal before arriving for class.

We offer classes taught by a variety of local and guest instructors on topics as basic as knife skills and cooking with a wok, to appetizers, pastries, and pies, to classes featuring entertaining with upscale menus. Sign-up for any of our ethnic classes and discover a new cuisine that interests you. Our All About classes teach basic cooking skills and are designed for the novice, however many students sign up for these classes to refresh cooking techniques. Our Celebrity Chef classes feature cookbook authors and television food personalities from around the world. Wine is sampled and we explore the art of wine and food pairing in almost all classes. Last but not least, our Kids in the Kitchen classes provide endless hours of learning and fun! Petite Chef classes are offered for children grades 1 to 3 and Junior Chef classes are for grades 4 to 6.

Class fees range from $35.00 up to $135.00 for couples classes. Celebrity Chef classes start at $65.00 and children's classes are offered at $35.00.

From the South: Take I-75 North to I-675 North. Take Exit 4B (Rt. 48 North, Kettering). Proceed north about 1/2 mile. Turn left at the Washington Square Shopping Center. Look for us next to Dorothy Lane Market.

From the North: Take I-70 West to I-675 South. Or take I-75 South to I-675 North. Take Exit 4 (Rt. 48 North, Kettering). Turn right and proceed north about 1/2 mile. Turn left at the Washington Square Shopping Center. Look for us next to Dorothy Lane Market.
