The DLM Gluten-Free Food Lovers’ Club meets from 3–4:30 p.m. the second Saturday of each month except March, November, & December in the Culinary Center next to our Washington Square store. The next meeting of the DLM Gluten-Free Food Lovers’ Club is this Saturday, June 14 from 3-4:30 p.m. Lollapalooza is a slang term for something outstanding of its kind; an extraordinarily impressive thing, person, or event. We will be celebrating the lollapalooza gluten-free cookies at DLM. This is a trial of a small, single-type gluten free product event. All products will be available in the Culinary Center. You will be able to purchase products without leaving the Culinary Center, so the experience will be one-stop tasting and shopping. Featured will be Dad’s Cookies, Tate’s Bake Shop, and Udi’s; local favorites like Éban Bakehouse, Tina’s Sweet Treats, and The Brown and Blond Bakery; and there might even be some surprise cookies, too!
DLM 100% Pure Honey Al Tuttle is a Miami Valley beekeeper who produces our very own private label honey. The honey is unprocessed, 100% raw, and local. Honey’s exact combination of fructose and glucose actually helps the body regulate blood sugar levels. Raw honey contains vitamins, minerals, and enzymes not present in refined honey. Do not feed raw honey to children under one year old.
Love Local! These are foods that are produced with care and love by local farmers with small, hands-on operations. Most come from within an hour’s drive away, and at maximum, leaving the farm at breakfast and arriving to us by lunch time. The shorter time from picking to the table gives you a much better taste. Thanks to the rich soil here in our area, and farmers who are educated and passionate, we have amazingly great food produced here in our back yard. My particular favorites are the local strawberries from Branstrator Farm or Stokes Berry Farm.
Fage Total Greek Yogurt Fage Greek yogurt is strained, resulting in a thick, creamy yogurt with more protein and fewer carbohydrates than other yogurts. Fage built a yogurt production facility in Johnstown, New York which began operations in April 2008, and is the largest of their facilities in terms of production capacity. I love the Total 2% with Honey; a match made in heaven.
