Watching the change of seasons here in our stores always gets me excited for the flavors that come with it. Walking past rows of apples, piles of beautiful squash, glass jars of sauerkraut, and jugs of apple cider just makes me happy and hungry! I can’t wait for the fall recipes that are finally available right now in our stores! Here are a couple of our favorites:

Black Bean Pumpkin Soup

I stock up when this soup is available. Full of fiber and simply delicious, we simmer black beans and real pumpkin together with our homemade stock and finish it off with a touch of Sherry. It freezes beautifully, so grab an extra one!

Waldorf Quinoa Salad

Think of this salad as a superfoods powerhouse! Full of different textures, it’s not only delicious but fun to eat. Walnuts, apples, cranberries, spinach, and quinoa team up for a great side salad or light lunch. If you haven’t tried quinoa yet, this is a yummy way to get familiar with this ancient whole grain.

Cabbage Rolls

Yes, we know everyone’s grandma’s cabbage rolls are the best — but just in case grandma isn’t cooking tonight, we think ours come pretty darn close! We make them from scratch using the highest quality ground beef, fresh cabbage, and housemade sauce.

Sauerkraut Balls

Ready for some football? These tasty little bites are perfect for the game or just some serious snacking. Of course, we make them right here with fresh mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and our own DLM Uncured Ham. Don’t forget to dip into the sour cream-mustard sauce that makes this favorite fall appetizer special.
