DLM Artisan Bread

Feel Good in 2014!

There are a lot of things we do here in the DLM Bakeries that are “feel good.” Yes, we pride ourselves on putting out the best possible and highest quality that we can muster for our customers; however, there are other aspects. Most people know that we bake our bread fresh every day, starting with water, flour, yeast, and salt. Most people know that our bread is hand shaped and baked in our European hearth oven. What most people don’t know is that the bread you enjoy from our bakery today was baked, well… today. Our bakers begin at 11 p.m. mixing and shaping the dough, and by 8 a.m. it is all turned into beautiful, crusty, aromatic bread. At closing time that night, the bread is donated to various local charities, just as the bakers arrive to begin all over again for the next day.



Something else to feel good about is that the following breads are made from organic flour: San Francisco Sourdough, Farmhouse, DLM Signature Round, and Paris Grande. Our Sprouted Whole Grain breads are also made with organic sprouted flour. Sprouted grains are made from wheat berries that are first sprouted into a plant which reduces the starchy portion of the grain, making the body metabolize the grain more like a plant than a starch. Our sprouted grain family of breads include the original Sprouted Whole Grain, Pumpkin Seed Sprouted Whole Grain, and Ancient Grain. Every single one of our breads is made from King Arthur flour and is GMO free.
