15th Annual Health Fair
On: March 25, 2017
Cheers to your health at our 15th annual Health Fair, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 25, at DLM Springboro. You’ll feel like celebrating after trying all the free samples from the numerous health-conscious vendors on site.
Upstairs on our mezzanine, you can meet with local holistic and health practitioners, such as Patti McCormick from the Institute of Holistic Leadership, Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum from Rx Integrative Solutions, Dr. Nathan Siebenaller of Fully Alive Chiropractic, and representatives from Drayer Physical Therapy, Happy Hormone Cottage, Otterbein Springboro, Warriors of Wellness, and many more. Plus, find out if yoga is for you. Renee Weber from One Peaceful Place will be presenting yoga participation demonstrations every half hour.
Head downstairs to the Healthy Living department where you’ll find information and samples from Orgain, Medella Probiotics, Garden of Life, Keys, Tallowderm, Terry Naturally, Maui Mae, Derma E, Vital Proteins, Redd Remedies, Nordic Naturals, Solgar, and Bodisafe Beauty! And don’t forget to sign up for the many door prizes available throughout the day. Come for the health of it! You’ll be glad you did. See below for our free seminars!
11:30 A.M. Eat Yourself Super • Todd J. Pesek, M.D.
See how easy and delicious it is to Eat Yourself Super with superfoods—plant-based, nutrient-dense, calorie-sparse, health-empowering foods. Learn the damaging effects of excessive dietary sugars and fats along with strategies to drastically improve dietary choices that support longevity and vital living. Dr. Todd Pesek specializes in disease prevention and reversal. He’s a holistic physician, medical advisor, published scholar, professor, and founder of Nutritional Roots. He believes we all can achieve wellness through hydration, superfoods, alkalization, detoxification, and that an immersion into nature and healing plants allows for true health.
1:30 P.M. NUTRITION & Mental Health • LORI KELCH, Nutrition & WELLNESS EDUCATOR
Research shows that what we eat can directly affect our brain function and, ultimately, our mood. There is a relationship between our gut bacteria and its impact on our moods and mental wellness. The foods we choose can promote mental health and can play a role with anxiety and depression. Specific foods, dietary supplements, and lifestyle choices support mental well-being. Nutrition and wellness educator Lori Kelch has given many community and corporate presentations on a variety of health and wellness topics, and is an instructor at Antioch University Midwest.
New! In addition to our two free seminars at the Health Fair, join us for free yoga demonstrations throughout the day. It’s yoga for all levels and will focus on simple standing or sitting yoga poses that you can integrate into your daily routine. Join us!
