Bowman & Landes and DLM share similar secrets for success: Both started in business in 1948 and are family-owned with four generations! When we partnered with Bowman & Landes to raise our DLM Fresh Free-Range Turkeys, we shared the same beliefs in how we wanted our turkey raised. Baby turkeys, or poults, are raised in climate-controlled barns under 24-hour-care. As the turkeys mature, they’re turned out to free-range in the fresh air and sunshine. Rows of corn are planted to give them shelter and protection. They are fed a vegetarian diet of grains grown and milled right on the farm and never given any growth promotants or antibiotics. This unique feeding program gives the turkeys a natural tenderness and delectable taste that you will never find in other turkeys.
