Get Ready for Pumpkin Palooza

I keep wondering if the trend to infuse just about everything with pumpkin this time of year will ever “jump the shark.” This phrase, popularized by the Fonze on Happy Days, refers to fads that have peaked and are on the way out. Luckily, after all these years, people are still just as crazy about pumpkin.
Take Cheryl, one of my beloved co-workers here at DLM, for instance. As the pumpkin hysteria takes over each year, we enlist Cheryl to taste the first Caramel Iced Pumpkin Cookie. This amazing cookie is oversized and pillowy—the way a good cookie should be. If Cheryl gives it the thumbs up, we know it’s ready to make its appearance. Think of it as quality control.
But that’s not all we’ll be up to at the DLM Bakery. We’ll have the BEST pumpkin favorites, from Spiced Pumpkin Bread with Cinnamon Streusel to our treasured Grandma Tobias Pumpkin Pie. Closer to November, we bring out our Pumpkin Cheese Roll, which just has to make it to my Thanksgiving feast. All of our pumpkin items are made right here with our signature pumpkin sauce that’s made with real pumpkins. We also use this sauce to make our yummy Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Frappé—good options if you prefer to drink your pumpkin.
Luckily for us all, the pumpkin trend isn’t going away anytime soon. You have to stop in and give everything pumpkin a try. You won’t regret it!
