When I think of the ultimate go-to wine, I’m drawn to sparkling wine. After all, it’s a beverage that’s incredibly food friendly and it goes with even the most seeming anti-wine pairings. It plays a role for so many of life’s celebrations and rites of passages, and it is even great with brunch!
Whether it’s a $10 bottle, $300 bottle, or something in between that you are hunting for, you will find that we have a wine to meet your expectations. Something to set a sense of place and that’s varietally correct regardless of being called Cava, Prosecco, Champagne, Spumante, etc. There are first-class sparkling wines being grown in many regions throughout the world today, and half the fun is experiencing them with friends and family!
Bollinger NV Special Cuvée
This stunning Champagne producer from Ay, France, has been family owned since 1829! While probably more noted as being the preferred beverage to Ian Fleming’s James Bond character, this wine delivers complexity and distinctive tree fruit nuances and is perfect paired with any fish dish (especially sushi), poultry, or a Heavenly Ham®.
The Mionetto Prosecco Brut DOC, which wears a yellow label, has an intense fruity bouquet with a hint of golden apples. It’s very dry, fresh, light in body, well-balanced, and a great value!
