When I think of the ultimate go-to wine, Iím drawn to sparkling wine. After all, itís a beverage thatís incredibly food friendly and it goes with even the most seeming anti-wine pairings. It plays a role for so many of lifeís celebrations and rites of passages, and it is even great with brunch!
Whether itís a $10 bottle, $300 bottle, or something in between that you are hunting for, you will find that we have a wine to meet your expectations. Something to set a sense of place and thatís varietally correct regardless of being called Cava, Prosecco, Champagne, Spumante, etc. There are first-class sparkling wines being grown in many regions throughout the world today, and half the fun is experiencing them with friends and family!
Bollinger NV Special Cuvťe
This stunning Champagne producer from Ay, France, has been family owned since 1829! While probably more noted as being the preferred beverage to Ian Flemingís James Bond character, this wine delivers complexity and distinctive tree fruit nuances and is perfect paired with any fish dish (especially sushi), poultry, or a Heavenly Hamģ.
The Mionetto Prosecco Brut DOC, which wears a yellow label, has an intense fruity bouquet with a hint of golden apples. Itís very dry, fresh, light in body, well-balanced, and a great value!
Dibon Cava Brut
This is a true bargain that is well made, dry, flavorful, and perfect for those large parties or small brunch gatherings as it has universal appeal.
Guyot Choppin Champagne
A DLM exclusive Champagne, this Brut wine is full of roasted apple, white currants, and a touch of citrus in its tangy, mineral-driven finish. Perfect with oysters, hors díoeuvres, or on its own!
