Cheese for Entertaining
On: November 21, 2015
There’s no better way to kick off your soirée than with cheese. It not only provides something savory for guests to nosh on, but it buys you a little extra time to put the finishing touches on dinner. Here are some of our favorites!
Comté AOP Fort Saint Antoine Symphonie
This nearly 24-month-old Comté was a star at our Cheese Show. It’s rich and full of nutty character, making it a great pick for a cheese plate paired with apples, melted on your onion soup, or a layered on a grilled sandwich with our Farmhouse or Rustic Country Bread!
Colston Bassett Stilton
This Stilton is one of my favorite cold weather cheeses. It’s strong and lingers on your tongue without being sharp or overpowering. Even the rind is moist and the inside is creamy throughout. It’s amazing paired with a Kopke Port wine and some almonds.
No cheese board is complete without a wash-rind cheese, and this style from Burgundy, France, is the epitome of “stinky” cheese, which is heavenly to eat! Serve with our Bakery’s French Baguette and some wine, or put a dollop on some potatoes!
