  • Tom Winter
  • VP of Grocery, Dairy & Frozen
  • Tom Winter has been shopping at DLM since he was five years old. His career started in Oakwood bagging groceries, and he has worked his way up to Vice President of Marketing and Director of Grocery, Frozen, and Dairy. The 1973 graduate of Wright State University has been a member of the DLM family for over 40 years. Over the years, he has spent numerous hours working in many departments at DLM to bring our customers the best service possible. He often travels the country in search of the latest and greatest clean products. His goal is to continue making DLM the very best at serving the needs of our customers. Every decision he makes is made with this in mind. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, gardening, and above all spending time with his family.

Himalayan Salt Chunks

Looking for a unique hostess gift? Tired of giving a bottle of wine every open house? These tasty and nutritious salt chunks will provide enjoyment for months and will be decorative as well. Equal Exchange Coffee

Equal Exchange began in 1986 to empower small farmer co-ops that use sustainable agriculture. They currently work with small farmer organizations in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. The co-ops are owned and governed democratically by the farmers themselves. Decisions are made within the co-op, on their terms. The fair trade organic coffee has some interesting varieties, including Mind, Body, and Soul or Love Buzz.

Chocolate Bars

The Equal Exchange Chocolate Bars combine the famous Swiss standards in chocolate making with cocoa from farmer co-ops in the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Peru; fairly traded organic sugar from Paraguay and Costa Rica; and fairly traded vanilla from Madagascar. Try a rich and delicious treat that supports small-scale farmers and their families.

Caffé Vita

Caffé Vita (Italian for “coffee life”) is a small coffee house and roaster near Seattle’s Pike Place market. They inspect each batch of green beans before roasting them in small batches in a stocky old European roaster in the back room. And finally, they taste test every batch before release. Mike, John, and their crew make only a handful of varieties but do each exceedingly well. They do indeed “live coffee." The Bistro Blend is a medium roast - excellent for drip. Caffé del Sol is a medium roast specially made in the Northern Italian tradition for cappuccino, although you can use it for drip as well.
