Is a chronic health condition running your life? Do you rely on pain medication to get you through the day? Oral Systemic Balance (OSB) therapy can help you feel better.

According to Dr. Richard Quinttus, “When a person’s oral system is out of balance, an adrenaline response is triggered that can lead to symptoms of many chronic health problems such as: TMJ, chronic headaches, fibromyalgia, obstructive sleep apnea, shortness of breath, back and neck pain, etc”. OSB therapy is based on a new understanding of how imbalance in the oral system can affect body functions. This imbalance is the result of crowding by the tongue and soft tissues in the throat area. Most people are unaware that their throat is crowded and that their oral system is out of balance. However, when this situation exists, the body compensates by posturing the head slightly forward and increasing adrenaline output. Excess adrenaline leads to increased tension in the body, pain, and other health issues. OSB therapy improves breathing, reduces the adrenaline response, calms the nervous system, and relieves the symptoms associated with many chronic conditions through the use of specially designed oral appliances.

Richard Quinttus, D.D.S. is a member of the American Dental Association and is an Oral Systemic Balance Certified Practitioner and Instructor. He has been in practice for 30 years and has always had a special interest in treating patients with chronic pain issues.
