1/4 cup salted butter, softened |
1/2 tsp chili powder |
1/4 tsp ground cumin |
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 clove fresh garlic, finely minced |
1 lb striped bass fillets, rinsed and patted dry |

Preheat broiler. Blend butter, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and garlic in a small bowl until well combined. Season fillet with sea salt. Place fillets, skin side down, in a baking dish. Spread with chili butter. Broil fish 4 to 6 inches from heat source for 6 to 8 minutes or until fish flakes.
