Dorothy Lane Market Bag Travels into Space!
Astronaut and Space Shuttle Endeavour Pilot Col. Gregory Johnson, a Fairborn native, wore the DLM grocery bag he took on the flight on March 11, 2008. Fifteen days and 6.5 million miles later, the flight and bag returned to earth. This is a record for DLM's "A Famous Name in a Famous Place" promotion, in which customers can earn a gift card for taking a picture of themselves with a DLM bag in another state or country. In the past we have had pictures from places as varied as Paris, the Fiji Islands, the North Pole, and Mt. Rushmore. The pictures are put on our store's bulletin boards for all to enjoy. It's Bloom Time!
Gerbera Daisies are the best-selling plant in the United States. Gerbera plants will bloom for 4-6 weeks in the home with proper care. Put near a sunny window and keep the soil moist, but don't let the pot sit in water, as this will encourage root rot. They can also be planted outside as an annual. 4-inch pot • $6.99 • save $1.00 with Club DLM 2.U card through Tuesday, July 22.
