Holiday Yule Log
Yule log is a literal translation of "bûche de Noël", a traditional French Christmas cake that is shaped and decorated to resemble a log. It is made from a sheet of Génoise (French sponge cake) and filled with chocolate buttercream and raspberry jam. The surface is ridged to resemble the bark of a log and garnished with ornaments to resemble mushrooms or moss.
