Join us this Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for our annual DLM Chicken Breast Sandwich Cookout. At our School of Cooking

New! Cooking Through History Cooking Camp (grades 1-6)
This educational cooking camp, taught by Zebbie Borland, will explore the history and culture of past generations. Each day, the kitchen of the past will be explored and recipes tried from different time periods all the way up to the modern day. Join us for these hands-on classes and take a walk back in time. Pioneer Days will have a menu of Sausage Patties, Swedish Rice Porridge, Fresh Applesauce, and St. Lucia Buns. In Victorian Times we will make Cream of Carrot Soup, Roasted Beef Tenderloin, French Salad with Dressing, Corn Oysters, and Apple Brown Betty. The Depression gives us Homemade Waffles with Fruity Freezer Jam, Ambrosia, Banana Fritters, and Bread Pudding. As we move into World War II you will prepare Victory Garden Soup, War Bread, Potato Pancakes, and Red Devil’s Food Cake, and we will swing into Modern Times with Chicken Stir Fry, Caesar Salad, Carrot Cake, and Hot Spiced Tea.
