Recipe of the Week: Couscous & Asparagus Summer Salad
This recipe features couscous (spherical granules made by rolling and shaping moistened semolina wheat and then coating them with finely ground wheat flour). Eat Local and add some asparagus from the Jon Branstrator Farm in Clarksville. This is the perfect complement to your favorite grilled meat, poultry, or seafood, and would be a great salad to serve to your Memorial Day guests!

Locally Grown Strawberries
Jon Branstrator is now delivering locally grown strawberries from his farm in Clarksville, Ohio. They are shipped to DLM within hours after being picked. Since they are picked at the height of ripeness, they are sweet and fragrant, with the perfect balance of acid and sugar, making this an unforgettable dining experience.

New! Pheasant Eggs
Tomorrow afternoon, May 22, we will have local pheasant eggs for sale in all three Dairy departments. We will be driving to the Mulberry Pheasantry Farm in Camden, Ohio and picking them up. These eggs are smaller than a chicken egg, yet have a richer yolk which is lower in cholesterol. For people who can’t tolerate chicken eggs, it is thought that they can eat pheasant eggs without problems. Enjoy them while you can, as we will have limited availability.

New! AquaCuisine Smoked Salmon Sausages
Since 1993, AquaCuisine has passionately pursued a vision by producing restaurant quality, value-added seafood products using eco-friendly practices. Founder and CEO Mark Goforth developed a love for salmon during his childhood summers spent fishing the pristine fjords off Ketchikan, Alaska. Wild Alaskan Salmon was a great choice for their sausages and franks because of its combination of high protein, low fat, and omega-3 fatty acids. The fully cooked sausages are all natural and contain no artificial ingredients or nitrates and nitrites. For a healthy and nutritious meal, try the Smoked Jalapeño or Italian Style with Whiskey Smoked Salmon Sausages, or the Smoked Salmon Franks.
