Mardi Gras King Cakes are baked fresh, using unbleached, unbromated flour, real butter, sugar, water, whole eggs, yeast, and sea salt. The coffee cake is in the form of a crown and is topped with a cooked-butter icing, bearing the bright colors of royal jewels. Remember to hide the plastic baby in the cake (be sure to tell your guests). Tradition dictates that the person who finds the doll will be the king or queen of the party - and will bring the cake to the next celebration. Varieties include plain, cream cheese, apple, cherry, and raspberry.

Product Recall

We believe that the recall of PCA peanut paste and peanut granules is beginning to escalate. This week we have received recalls on the following products: Woodstock Farms California Supreme, Cascade Trail, Mocha Madness, and Chocolate Cherry Munch; Ethnic Gourmet Shrimp Pad Thai Noodle Bowl and Pad Thai with Tofu Rice Bowl; Happiness Candy Bridge Mix and Chocolate Peanuts; DLM Bridge Mix and DLM Peanut Butter Clusters; Kashi TLC Chewy Granola Bars and TLC Chewy Cookies. We have called all customers who purchased these products in the last two months. Please return any of these products to DLM for a full refund. To help consumers get a handle on which food products have been recalled, the FDA has created a frequently updated searchable database at http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/peanutbutterrecall/index.cfm.
The agency advised consumers that if they came across a product that wasn't in the list of recalled products, they could check the company's website. The FDA also reiterated that major national brands of jarred peanut butter, including DLM Organic Peanut Butter, sold in grocery stores are unaffected by the PCA recall.

When microwaving leftovers, make sure there are no cold spots in food (where bacteria can survive). Cover food, stir, and rotate for even cooking. If there is no turntable, rotate dish by hand once or twice during cooking.
