New! Italian Goodies Arrive Just in Time for Christmas

Bonci Panforte is one of our favorite treats from Tuscany, Italy! Bonci uses a traditional Tuscan medieval recipe based on toasted almonds, candied fruits, and spices. It's a sophisticated dessert you can serve any time of year, but especially now. Serve with Italian dessert wine.

Loison is a well-known Italian artisan baking company from Vicenza in northern Italy. They have been making panettone and other classic Italian pastry since 1938. We bring a small amount of this special product every year at the holiday season. Not only are they light, buttery, and filled with delicious candied fruits, they are beautifully packaged. Make a present of this panettone for anyone who loves Italy! Enjoy panettone with Italian dessert wine or coffee.

Tasty Black Truffles
Since the times of the ancient Greeks and Romans, truffles have been used in Europe as delicacies and as medicines. Among the most expensive of the world’s natural foods, they are arriving at DLM just in time for the holidays. To enjoy the distinctiveness of truffles, you must eat fresh, uncooked specimens shortly after they have been purchased. Finely grate a fresh truffle and add it to softened unsalted butter in proportions to suit your taste. Use enough butter so that the mixture is spreadable and not crumbly. Let stand at room temperature for an hour. Spread on crackers, DLM Artisan Baguettes, or baked potatoes. Truffle butter freezes well.
